smithsherman, you sent me a message few months ago saying how you don't like my "personal offenses," to Berezhovsky, and i don't even know what i said, while you are by far the most negative and put-down-fulfilled you-tube comment-leaver i've ever seen. you're one of those people who thinks he's incredibly smart and gift from the skies.

Who cares about the one note differnce at 4:01? The point is that this and Ashkenazy's versions of Schumann's expression are as dessicated as fossil dust. These are typists.

At 04:01 she repeats for the second time a note 1/2 tune higher than Askenay's recorded. Who plays right?

This is to Schumann's expression as the meal of a box of Dried Smoked Squid Army rations from the war ...or 1914 ....would be to a beautifully fresh-cooked home meal at a professional chef's house today. I'm sure the museum cadavers applauded it's verification of their half-decomposed state..

LVB 1770, are you saying that Clara Schumann cheated on Robert Schumann with Johannes Brahms?

this is the only pianist i've heard playing this piece so far, and people criticize her but to me this sounds just absolutely amazing.

rachmaninovbrahms, I love it when people give insight like yours! Have you read the Clara Schumann and Brahms letters? I found them in two volumes in a used book store. They were very fond of each other, that's for sure!

i like her simplistic approach; she doesn't fiddle with the music that much. it's really not fair to compare pianists to Cziffra.

I don't like it. my favourite version is Cziffra live at Besancon 1959 he played it with a beautiful singing tone.
