Description:
7/22/07 -- CNN/CNN Newsroom: Rick Sanchez reports on talk of American involvement in Pakistan to attempt to rout a strengthening al Qa'ida. The recent U.S. National Intelligence Estimate which finds Pakistan to be a new safe haven for al Qa'ida threatens to pit two post-9/11 allies against each other as heated exchanges continue on both sides of the argument. Summary of Video: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Peter Pace, when asked about the possibility of more military involvement by the U.S. in Pakistan states, "if he [President Musharraf[ needed support -- or some kind of other air support -- if he were to ask -- we would sit down with him and ask how it was going to be used." Discussion turns from General Peter Pace to Waziristan and the fact that the U.S. has neither gone into the region nor has it believed to have fired into the region. At the same time, it happens to be very close to places like Bagram Air Base (Afghanistan) where the U.S. could stage artillery, drones and boots. White House spokespersons indicate U.S. military action in Pakistan is on the table with notables such as Fran Townsend saying "no question -- we will use any instrument at our disposal -- to deal with the problem... of al Qa'ida." Finally, Peter Bergen describes how al Qa'ida is back and highlights U.S. mistakes as well as al Qa'ida advances that have been made during the last several years. |

1ndy1 ::: Favorites Al-Qaeda was formed in Peshawar, Pakistan. The training camps run by the ISI in Pakistan to train Kashmiri terrorists also train Al-Qaeda members such as Shehzaad Tanweer the London bomber and Mohammed Atta the 9/11 pilot who crashed into the World Trade Center, the fact he was sent $100000 by the ISI to complete the mission tells us everything. Go on deny it, who cares what you think, we KNOW the TRUTH 07-07-28 18:13:02 _____________________________________________________
099X ::: Favorites Ha, very well said "Know the truth"- Besides the fact you have no proof other than irresponsible words, I'm amazed at your short-sightness into the world matters. What happened to the 'TRUTH YOU KNEW' about the very "FACT" US attacked Iraq? Wasn't WMD = B/S?? No doubt that this attititude of yours "who cares what you think" will be your demise! 07-07-28 20:49:52 _____________________________________________________
1ndy1 ::: Favorites The proof is the video wills that Mohammed Atta and Shehzad Tanweer made before becoming suicide bombers. Who cares about WMD's, look at all that free oil thats paying for US forces to remain in Iraq. You Paki's seem to think you're some kind of superpower when you've lost EVERY war you've ever fought. Can't even control your own borders, who cares its all a laugh watching muslims die on the news every night. 07-07-28 20:55:58 _____________________________________________________

chronic372 ::: Favorites If it was USA trying to Invade Afghanistan in 1980's then ISI could be declared terrorist, by that time,on international media. My friend its not the matter of terrorism. Only 'OIL'. West needed a camouflaged for invasion for oil and the camouflage is terrorism. 07-08-10 04:47:41 _____________________________________________________
chronic372 ::: Favorites what about US-india nuclear deal in 1974 and recently, US Israit deal etc 07-08-10 04:49:38 _____________________________________________________
mavinga ::: Favorites i guess Barack Obama isnt to naive after all is he...for all the talk about Musharraf being in an alliance with America, little do we know the jihadis in Kashmir and those on the border of Afghanistan are comrades in a jihad against the infidel christians and hindu, and people really think musharraf at the end of the day is backing america and not those opposed to India..whereby doing so he indirectly backs al qaida 07-08-10 19:25:23 _____________________________________________________
