prowatchdoc ::: Favorites Many Airflows would up in crashes because they didn't stop too fast and the steering was so slow. Lots of turns lock to lock. Although they were ahead with hydraulic brakes, others were still mechanical, they were very heavy and slow to stop and slow to get out off being involved in crashes. 07-08-18 02:47:53 __________________________________________________
prowatchdoc ::: Favorites When I was 12 in 1948 my father purchased a 1936 Chrysler Imperial Airflow for $500. It was in perfect shape. I will always remember the mother of pearl Speedometer, the plush ride and the radio that had the antenna under the car. It would cruise 80 all day long. Thanks for the memories, 07-08-18 02:36:05 __________________________________________________
34airflow ::: Favorites Having said that, I prefer the style of the '34 over the later Airflows. :-) Still, any Airflow is cool. Thanks for posting. 07-08-17 14:40:01 __________________________________________________
34airflow ::: Favorites The effect the DeSoto and Chrysler Airflow had on the U.S. automobile is still felt today. Just look at the styling of Mercury's latest SUV or Nissan's Maxima. 07-08-17 14:37:45 __________________________________________________

1947Desoto ::: Favorites This isn't just a car, it's a piece of artwork. What happened to cars in the 1980's through the 2000's? Why can't they build cars like this with modern updates???? In my opinion there are only a handful of cars today that will become classics. 07-06-07 18:30:35 __________________________________________________
1947Desoto ::: Favorites You, are the luckiest 17 year old in the world! 07-06-07 18:27:41 __________________________________________________
fordroad ::: Favorites The Airflow models were in Australia from 1934. One of the famous Chrysler models and still in the road was Eric Hoyes REDEX Rally car run in 1953 around Australia. The car at that time was 19 years old and stayed with the pack as number one until driver weariness caused withdrawal. A great restoration job and YES Iagree why were they not the most successful car in America. My personal transport is a Buick Special series 40 1938 black sedan. 07-05-18 06:07:26 __________________________________________________
